ahh, the clock ticks on endlessly. but sometimes the ticks are a long time apart, others they are an indistiguishable blur. earlier this day i was wishing for time to pass (i was hungry, supper time was slow in coming). now i'm wishing time would go slower (i'm not done my hw, and but i want a minimum amount of sleep tonight). the solution is simple! you say. just do your homework during the day in stead of last minute. duh, hello. but that doesn't work for me. i have to have the pressure of procrastination, it's the last minute, rush rush rush. it's when my best work is done. yeah, this afternoon i read two chapters in The Two Towers. it was luxorious, sitting on the couch reading. then i went to supper and sat for a while there. then i come to the computer labs and browse the internet for a while, catching up on comics i haven't looked at in a while mostly. then i start on my hw. now it's 2330, i'm about to keel over from hunger and sleep dep, and my hw's only 75% done. yay, i'll finish it in class tomorrow. life is so simple really, why worry about things at all? my hw, either it gets done or it doesn't get done. big deal. but somehow i have a feeling that my grades this semester are not going to be too impressive.dr. hummel gave a good devo one time on college education. so i go buy this $80,000 dollar car. am i going to let it sit out in the rain and sun, ding the doors, or let it sit idle in the drive way for months at a time? prolly not. (warning! bad analagy coming up. but for once it's not mine, so you can't blame me for it. blame dr. hummel). so we shell out eighty g's for this piece of paper with the magic words "diploma" on it (so i got honors in english, but failed any tests related to singular vs plural... or grammar for that matter). i personally have been pretty wastefull of my education. i'm here more for the lifestyle than anything else. not really, but htat's how it feels often. what am i learning? not as much as i could. why do i put my hw off til late? because i can get away with it. i'm a slacker, granted. and i've been complaining about it for four years now, granted. but this is my blog so i can complain all i want right?
you ever get that feeling inside, like God's going to strike you with lightneing or worse at any moment? i'm all set up for it. i have my feet grounded in a pool of lazynesss and i'm standing on a high hill of insolence. (right, so that was my particularly bad analagy, you can lynch me later). well, i'm "ready" for it. bring it on. i need a little change. all i do is complain and never do anything. so if God strikes me with lighting, so be it. if he says i need it, then i probly need it, neh?
