in church this morning we sang a song that contained the line, "he aids us against our enemies". i don't know off hand if that comes directly from a bible verse, but if nothing else, David obviously thought it was so (read a random psalm). come to think of it, it probably comes directly from a random psalm. so i'll grant it biblical accuracy. my observation is this: what becomes of this line when you also recognize that my chief enemy is myself?Lead me not into temptation (I can find the way myself) -unknown
so doing a little substitution: "he aids us against ourselves". well, like they say, only God can do the impossible :).
