<< Sarcasm Scale >>

An explanation...

[0] = drop dead serious

[1] = no sarcasm, take it at face value

[2] = light banter

[3] = sarcastic, but still in a good mood

[4] = very sarcastic, almost enough to make you take a step back and say, "whoa"

[5] = very sarcastic, perhaps a skosh overboard [3] (and typically it means I'm upset)

just finished watching the 2001 edition of planet of the apes.  terrible movie.  absolutely pathetic.  it started with Mark Wahlberg being cleanshaven throughout the entire movie.  he spends a week roughing it on an alien planet, come on.  i like the actor, so i'll blame it on the screenwriters.  his motivational speech at the end about put me to sleep.  why'd i watch it?  i wanted to see how it ended of course :).

but i did see an add while watching it.  this guy walks into a supermarket to the back, grabs a bottle of chocolate milk, then acting suspiciously, takes a quarter and scrapes part of the upc off.  takes it up to the checkout, the checkout lady stands there and swipes the thing four dozen times, going back and forth vigoriously trying to get it to read before giving up and calling for a pricecheck.  meanwhile, the guy pulls the cap off and starts drinking.  enter narrator, "shake things up.  got chocolate milk?"
