This is yet another plea for you to read The Chosen by Chaim Potok. This is the second book of his that I have read, the first being My Name is Asher Lev. I found both to be very moving and thought-provoking. If you are looking for an easy read, I suggest The Chosen. My intentions are to continue reading his other works, to see if I like them as much. If nothing else, they provide valuable insight into what Jewish life is like. While you could call it dated, it is much more modern information than what we are used to from the Bible.0212045.1918.1923
