so i'm eating rasin bran right now. what does that say about me? that i'm a rasin fanatic? i'd almost have to be to eat this stuff. two scoops is all fine and dandy, but when it's mixed with only one scoop of flakes, it becomes a little overwhelming. meanwhile, what it says is that i didn't find the other two choices of flavored sugar (golden grahms and chocolate rice crispies) to be too appealing after consuming a liter of mt dew for afternoon snack.well, i was right. the day started out pretty rough. it suddenly got a lot better when i took over the controls halfway through the morning flight, though flying a kingair is not nearly as fun as flying a beech 18, which was what i was doing last week. i got to practice my shortfield technique, which involves slamming the airplane onto the runnway (gently) and using lots of propellor beta. a king air can land in a fairly short amount of runway. it depends on how much leg muscles the pilot can devote to the brakes. the more trees filling his forward view of the other end of the runway, the quicker he can stop :). i dont' have trees to stop for, just strawberry fields and a golf-course. no sweat.
