<< Sarcasm Scale >>

An explanation...

[0] = drop dead serious

[1] = no sarcasm, take it at face value

[2] = light banter

[3] = sarcastic, but still in a good mood

[4] = very sarcastic, almost enough to make you take a step back and say, "whoa"

[5] = very sarcastic, perhaps a skosh overboard [3] (and typically it means I'm upset)

do you ever read old stuff you've written.  i know a couple people that don't and i know some people that do.  i understand why a person wouldn't want to.  some of my stuff that i read is painfully immature, some of it's painfully bratty, but alot of it i find hilarious.  i'm my own best fan.  i usually get more chuckles out of my writing reading it agian a month or twelve later than i actually did while writing it.

i was just reading my 0510 post on "cognative instability."  when we used to live in delaware, way back in grade school, my brother and i would get up whenever mom called us to get up.  this was usually when she got home from work (she worked/works nightshift).  this was way back in the day when i was wearing dad's old tshirts as nightshirts and they managed to come to my knees.  i used to be a lot shorter than my current height when i was eight years old.  go figure.  i usually beat him to the kitchen, we're both sluggish in the morning, but he's sluggisher.  but a bowl (or two or three) of cereal and a book was always the norm for breakfast.  oddly enough, that hasn't changed much, except i now wear dad's old shirts for everyday insteadof at night (i have one on now), and they fit comfortably instead of going to my knees.  but htis is off topic.

when we finished with our bowls, it was normal to take them to the sink and leave them there.  but often we would find ourselves halfway through the living room on the way downstairs with dirty bowls in hand.  i hadn't thought of that in years, but reading my post brought it to mind.  that's a good memory.  too bad you can't have it, hmm? :)
