yupalmost two weeks eh? it actually felt like much much longer.
haven't gone anywhere, just haven't had much to say. but i've got a few ideas now.
not that they're coming out.. this is the fourth attempt i've made at writing something today.. two emails and a blog, this is take two. i went all dark and sarcastic on the other blog, i'll see what i can do to lighten that up for you and maybe post it later.
back to my ideas.. i was just inspired by another website. tenyearsofmylife.com caught my eye while browsing another site, basically it was the catchy domain name :). he's taking a picture every day of his life and posting htem for a decade.. 3652 or so pictures. i got to thinking, well that's pretty cool. i take a lot of pictures, and post a few, but to take pictures with the intent of capturing a memory from each day, that's a new perspective for me. so i'll try it out, and maybe even post a few from the past weeks.
so in that vein, i took a picture of me. if you don't like the way i look, don't look (heh)
this sums up my day pretty well actually, i've spent most of it here in my bedroom, hiding from the mosquitos and enjoying the air conditioning. that, btw, just got fixed two days ago, and has been a very nice touch. too bad i can't refrigerate my living room too...
listening to they might be giants, "whistling in the dark". such a soothing song.
tomorrow, i am definately going to have to get out of the apartment.
but anyroad, i set up camp in my bedroom and went through all my floppies, something i've been meaning to do for two years, but you know... i mean, who uses floppies anymore anyway. ha.
but there was some interesting stuff in there...
- Eat dessert first!! ...after all, life is uncertain.
there's a lot of truth to that.
- The sooner you fall behind, the more time you'll have to catch up.
that's one to take to heart. in fact, i usually make sure i get a running start in the opposite direction.
- A clear conscience is usually the sign of a bad memory.
and since i can't even remember what i had for breakfast this morning...
and this one takes the cake:
- Deja Moo: The feeling that you've heard this bull before.
definately. i'm trying to figure out a way to work it into our company slogan at work.
