let's see what we got.first is a commencement address by Bill Waterson to the class of '90 at Kenyon College. Bill Waterson (for those who {gasp} just absolutely don't know), was the genious extraordinare behind Calvin and Hobbs.
a rather unauthorized, gratuitous (and free!) bonus strip of completely random choosing (okay, so i've been waiting for an excuse).
looks like i need to seriously re-examine my life. grease stains don't count as grass stains...
back to the commencement address, i'll give you my favorite quote from it pulled entirely from context: (alright, he was suffering through a job writing ad copy while waiting for his big break).

I'd pull more, but Geoff (41er extraordinaire) already did an analysis and I'd hate for it to go to waste. if you're not much for analyses, then rest assured, he pulls several more humourus quotes for those in search of entertainment without thought.
and since Geoff inspired me with the adams quote in his header, I thought I'd join the spirit of htings and give you a gratuitous (and free!) bonus quote of completely random choosing:
