<< Sarcasm Scale >>

An explanation...

[0] = drop dead serious

[1] = no sarcasm, take it at face value

[2] = light banter

[3] = sarcastic, but still in a good mood

[4] = very sarcastic, almost enough to make you take a step back and say, "whoa"

[5] = very sarcastic, perhaps a skosh overboard [3] (and typically it means I'm upset)

ernesto wandered off without visiting jamaica, but some of his groupies did wander through and managed to clear things out a bit.  it rained for the better chunk of yesterday and the absolutely terrible visibility we'd been having for the last two weeks finally broke and i could actually see where I was flying this morning.  i might as well have been back in LA for all the "12 miles in haze" dispersal days i flew last week.

— my view of the sunset from work, where'd the red hills go?
— looking westward over kingston and you can see the thin haze layer.  more typically the layer will extend from the haze line (on top) all the way down to the surface.
— like in this picture, you can see the haze extending from the surface up to the haze line around 10,000 feet, with the CB's then popping on out into the clearer air above the inversion.  you'll usually find me flying higher on murky days in an effort to find the cooler, clearer air above.
